Catch the classifieds traffic drop in days, not months
Classifieds sites change every day: listings expire, categories move, and the frontend is rebuilt every few years. We built this product after investigating a classifieds drop by hand, six months after it started.
Daily Checks
robots.txt, sitemaps, hosts and your top pages checked every day and after every release.
History That Stays
Search Console data kept past the 16 months Google holds, so a slow decline can be traced to its start.
Clicks at Stake
Every problem and opportunity ranked by the clicks it affects, so you start with the one that matters.
Migrations are where classifieds lose traffic
When a classifieds frontend is rebuilt, the defaults of the new framework replace years of tuning: robots.txt may vanish, sitemaps may stop generating, and the old host may keep answering. Each of these is easy to fix and expensive to miss.
- Missing or overly broad robots.txt after a rebuild
- No sitemap generated by the new frontend
- www and non-www both receiving clicks for the same pages
- Large numbers of URLs answering 403 to crawlers
- Releases that change how expired listings answer, such as 404 or 410
Near-wins on category and location pages
Category by location pages are where classifieds win search. Opportunities finds the ones ranking just below the top results, or earning fewer clicks than their position should, and ranks them by clicks at stake.
- Near-wins on category and location pages
- Low click-through for the position
- Pages losing clicks faster than the site
