Web VitalsFeature

Find the template that got slower

A site-wide Core Web Vitals score hides the page type that regressed. Web Vitals tracks real-user field data for your origin and for the templates that earn the most clicks, and flags the ones getting worse.

Real-User Field Data

LCP, INP, CLS, FCP and TTFB from the public Chrome user experience data, by device type, over many weeks.

By Page Type

Field history for the busiest URLs of your busiest templates, chosen by Search Console clicks, compared now against earlier.

Lab Test Each Day

A mobile lab test of the homepage runs with every Site Check, so a performance drop after a deploy shows up quickly.

What You See

Thresholds you already know

Each metric is shown against the published good and poor thresholds, with the share of visits that pass. Page types are compared with their own past, so a template that slowed down after a release is flagged even if the site average still looks fine.

  • Origin history for the bare and www hosts, by form factor
  • Share of visits with good LCP, INP and CLS
  • Page types ranked by clicks, so slow but busy templates come first

Web Vitals: questions and answers

Do we need to install a script?

No. Field data comes from the public Chrome user experience dataset, so there is nothing to add to your pages.

Why is a page type missing?

Public field data only exists for pages with enough real Chrome traffic. Low-traffic templates may not have it yet.
